QR Code Generator

Today I found this nifty little QR code generator. For those of you that don’t know…

“A QR Code is a matrix code (or two-dimensional bar code) created by Japanese corporation Denso-Wave in 1994. The “QR” is derived from “Quick Response”, as the creator intended the code to allow its contents to be decoded at high speed. QR Codes are common in Japan where they are currently the most popular type of two dimensional code.” - Wikipedia

Anyway, I just think that these are awesome little ways to communicate and get messages across. I really think that this technology should be incorporated into more aspects of daily life. There are so many things that people can do with these codes. Anyway, I just wanted to go off for a second here this morning. You can make your own QR codes at http://qrcode.kaywa.com/ check it out!
I think I’m going to make a bumper sticker or something out of one. I’ll letcha know when and if I do.

Jordin Sparks: Live In Concert - 6.25.8

When Bob asked me if I wanted to go to this concert I honestly did not know who Jordin Sparks was… but I now know that she won American Idol a couple of years ago. The show was alright but the best part was simply hanging out with the friends… that and the free food that comes with the VIP tickets that we got! So thank you Bob and Desi… I owe you guys a dinner… some day. Hanyway, I hope that you enjoy the video and the pictures. Until next time… enjoy!

Strawberry Days 2008

Yet another year at Pleasant Grove’s Strawberry Days was… amazing! How could it be anything but amazing! It was fantasmagoric! Gotta love it. Check out the video from the rodeo and be sure to glance at the pictures. It was a great time. I’m ready for next year! I’m already craving those delicious strawberries and cream.

Book Review: Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

“Fantastically empowering and dark.”

Fight Club is a book that I have been meaning to read for a long long long long time. I have loved the film and I have known that I needed to read this book for a while now. Well I’m finally done, and surprisingly… I loved it. It truly is a fantastically dark story that captures the reader and doesn’t let go. Its a book that simply makes me want to give the entire word a big ‘Screw You’ … Okay okay, that might not be the best thing to do, but still. It’s a story that helps you feel okay with being yourself. I truly believe that each and every one of us has tremendous potential and power. I know that any of us can do anything we truly love or desire with enough effort and gumption. This book will help the people say ‘Bring it on world, I can take you, and I’m ready for it.’ If you haven’t read it check it out, links to where you can buy it are below as well as links to more information on Chuck Palahniuk and Fight Club. Enjoy!

California - Spring 2008

Well as many but most likely few of you know, I went to California for a little vacation with some friendolas at the end of April. Yes indeed, it was Brett Sorensen, Tysin Schaugaard, Nikki Parry, and myself of course. We had a blast of a time, went to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain. We had a great time and made many a great memory. We took some videos for those of you that might be interested in what a vacation with us might be like. So watchem if you like and leave a comment afterward! Enjoy!

Yes that is Brett, Tysin and myself on the Tea Cups in Disneyland… okay okay fine, the ‘Mad Tea Party’ … but great times ma brothas!

Yes, okay, this one is not the most exciting video from the trip but what they hay, I figured I’d throw it in. It also goes out as a tribute to the Haering Family. I know that they will surely appreciate it.

Ah, Six Flags Magic Mountain… so much fun. We had a great time here this year. Some pretty crazy coasters. But I honestly think that the scariest part of the entire day was when we rode on (what I recall is) the Log Jammer. This was the greatest (scariest) log ride I have ever been on. We we’re honestly scared that we would tip the entire log right over. We we’re so scared in fact… we rode it a second time.

Thats the video blog entries from this year’s Spring trip to California. Sorry the isn’t more (I’m sure you really don’t care much so… forget you!). Below is a little slide show of some of the pictures as well as links to the pictures and videos. Enjoy!
